The challenge

BT is dedicated to expanding the impact of its DEI initiatives beyond the protected characteristics, aiming to become a truly inclusive organisation for both colleagues and customers.

Following a comprehensive review of current practices, the Leadership team sought a group-wide development programme that not only highlighted the ‘what’ but specifically addressed the ‘how’ of integrating inclusive approaches into everyday work.

The ultimate objective was to instigate a genuine cultural shift and enhance personal accountability. With a senior audience with absolute responsibility for inclusion across BT, the focus was on creating something that was scalable and enabled changes in the leadership approach influencing the lived experiences of colleagues group-wide.

The solution

An expansive, all-company leadership development programme focused on leading inclusion, linking it to the strategic priorities of BT group and driving action – ensuring leaders don’t merely ‘think’ their way through inclusion, but that they act and enhance the lived experiences of everybody in the organisation.
