BT sought a group-wide development programme to catalyse change in the leadership approach and behaviours, which would benefit all at BT.
We responded with a leader-led, scaleable culture change programme that turned inclusive intentions into everyday actions.
BT Group set out to make inclusion more than an initiative — they wanted it embedded into the daily leadership habits of their most senior people.
The ambition was to:
Build inclusive leadership as a core capability
Enable leaders to recognise and address non-inclusive behaviours
Create psychologically safe teams
Shift culture through habit-driven change, not compliance
This meant creating a leadership experience people chose to attend, not one they were told to.
It had to feel meaningful, relevant, and grounded in BT’s transformation agenda.
Elev-8 partnered with BT to co-create Leading Inclusively & Safely… a 10-month programme that combined depth, provocation and practical tools.
